SAFETY, RULES & POLICIES OF MILE HIGH RANCH

 

1. RANCH ACCESS

 

1.1. In order to preserve the tranquil atmosphere, please note that the following items are not allowed:

  • Illegal and dangerous substances, dangerous items (in particular any offensive or defensive weapons of any category) and any type of object or toy resembling a firearm (such as a laser gun, etc.) that may endanger the safety of visitors.

  • Any items that may disturb the peace of visitors (such as vuvuzelas, megaphones or horns). 

  • Recreational items, such as drones or any other remote-controlled or radio-controlled toy. 

  • Any item that Hosts deems inappropriate or disturbing. 

 

1.2. Minors: minors under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. Whatever their age, minors are the responsibility of their parents or legal guardians, who are subsequently responsible for any damage they may cause.

 

1.3. Animals: pets are welcome to stay with you during your visit. They must be kept on a lead and remain under the control of their owners, and please be sure to “pick up” after your pets. Please see Pet Policy for additional details.

1.4. Check-in: Guest Rooms are available between 3 PM and 8 PM. Guests may check-in at the Ranch Office or by phone when you arrive. Early check-in no earlier than 1 PM may be offered subject to availability and payment of $20 fee. Late check-ins after 8:00 PM are available, but please call to make arrangements.

1.5. Check-out: Guest Rooms must be vacated by 11 AM on the day of departure. You may remain until 1 PM, for an additional $20, if it does not conflict with other incoming reservations. Departure after 1 PM will be billed as another day's stay.

​

1.6. Cancellation Policy: It is completely understandable that your plans may change. Reservations may be cancelled by 6:00 PM MST five (5) or more days prior to your day of check-in for the full amount minus 3% of the amount charged, which is the nonrefundable fee we must pay to our card processor to charge your card, even when a reservation is cancelled. Cancellations must be made by phone at (520) 432-3866. CANCELLATIONS MADE LESS THAN 5 DAYS BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL DATE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE RESERVATION. If a guest does not arrive and honor their reservation, or fails to call us directly to cancel, they will be responsible for the full amount of the reservation. Early departures are not eligible for refunds. If you are concerned about the possible need to cancel less than 5 days in advance, you may wish to consider purchasing travel insurance to cover this risk.

1.7. Visitors: Your visitors are always welcome at Mile High Ranch, provided they check in at our main office when they first arrive. Registered guests and their visitors are expected to read and adhere to all Ranch guidelines. All visitors must leave ranch by 9:00 PMno non-registered guests may stay overnight.

1.8. Reservations: Guests must vacate their guest room at the end of their stay, on the date and time set forth in their reservation confirmation.

​

1.9. Recordings: We may photograph, film, videotape, record, or otherwise reproduce the image and/or voice of any person who enters the Mile High Ranch, and use the same for any purpose without payment to any person.

​

1.10. Entry to Guest Rooms: We reserve the right to enter any guest accommodation for maintenance, safety, or security at any time, even if the guest is not present.

​

1.11. Housekeeping Service: Prior to your arrival your room will undergo comprehensive cleaning and airing out, with added attention to high touch areas and floors. For extended stays of a week or more your room will receive light housekeeping service once a week (upon request). This service will include removal of trash and replenishment of amenities such as towels and bedding, cleaning the vanity and floors.

 

 

2. HEALTH AND SAFETY

 

2.1. Maximum Room Occupancy: Guest rooms have been designed for a specific maximum number of occupants. For safety reasons, visitors are prohibited from accommodating a higher number of people than they declared at the time of registration.

 

2.2. Public Behavior: Theft, public order offenses, verbal and physical violence, insults, fraud, drunkenness, indecency, malice, failure to comply with safety instructions and regulations, racism, etc. may cause Hosts to intervene and take necessary measures, whether notifying the police, making a formal complaint, or escorting the visitor off the property without any compensation, reimbursement, or other recourse.

 

In addition, Mile High Ranch reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to prohibit the access or cancel the stay of any person whose behavior may harm their own safety, those of other visitors, or the security of the premises.

We ask that you respect the cleanliness of the ranch and facilities provided for your pleasure and comfort.

 

2.3. Ranch Evacuation: Management reserves the right to refuse access to the property and to evacuate the premises for safety reasons or in cases of “acts of God.” To facilitate any evacuation, persons with special needs are kindly asked to inform staff when they check in. 

 

2.4. Theft and Damage to Visitors’ Property: Mile High Ranch cannot be held responsible for any theft, loss or damage to your personal items. We recommend that you close doors and windows when you leave your guest room, and do not leave any valuable items in plain sight.

 

2.5. Smoking: For the safety and comfort of all guests, and by directive from the Fire Marshal, this is a smoke free property. The smoking of tobacco, e-cigarettes, or other products that produce a vapor or smoke is allowed only off property, such as along the public street next to the property, or in the designated smoking area. Smoking is never allowed in any guest accommodations. A US $150 to US $500 recovery fee will be charged for smoking in guest rooms (based on the Mile High Ranch room type).

 

2.6. Fires: in the interest of everyone’s safety, no fires may be lit, apart from the propane fire tables in the covered seating area within the Garden.

 

2.7. Candles/Incense: No candles, incense or anything similar can be burned in any of the guest rooms or anywhere on property at any time.

2.8. Climate Control: The mini-splits do a good job at keeping guest rooms warm on a chilly night, and cool on a warm summer afternoon. Please use judgement when setting the temperature to save on electricity. (Sorry, but we cannot achieve summer in Florida temps here!)

2.9. Noise & Lights: to enable everyone to rest, we request that you limit any noise that may disturb your neighbors during Quiet Hours, 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM. During the day we encourage guests to avoid any unnecessary or excessive noise to help retain the peaceful atmosphere of the ranch.

​

2.10. Technical and Service Equipment and Premises: these are reserved for Ranch employees. Please do not open doors thus marked, or any ducts, electrical cabinets or other such items.

​

2.11. Video Protection: The property is equipped with a video protection system in external areas only operated by Mile High Ranch. This system has been installed for the safety and security of people and property. Mile High Ranch is responsible for managing the system, in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory provisions.

 

2.12. Abandoned Items: for security reasons, Mile High Ranch reserves the right to deal with any abandoned items in the most appropriate manner and in collaboration with competent bodies.

2.13. Glass Containers: No glass containers may be brought to any public areas. Please enjoy food and beverages in paper, plastic or other non-breakable containers while enjoying the outdoors. Thank you for doing your part to keep the ranch clean and safe!

2.14. Wildlife: Feeding, petting, touching, harassing or harming any wildlife, including birds, is prohibited on the ranch. Be aware of potential visitors to the ranch after dark, including deer, bears (rare), mountain lions (rare), coatimundis, skunks, and javelina.

3. AVAILABILITY AND RULES APPLYING TO SPECIFIC SERVICES

 

Certain services, dining, and shops are seasonal in nature and/or may be subject to delayed opening or closure for maintenance work, in particular due to adverse weather conditions or insufficient safety conditions. Visitors are informed that these closures may come into effect without prior notice.

4. UNAUTHORIZED COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY

 

4.1. Hawking and the Distribution of Leaflets: In general, the sale of any items and/or services by third parties within the Ranch, along with begging and distributing brochures, leaflets and other printed matter or signs by visitors, is strictly prohibited.

 

4.2. Photos, Recordings and Copies: Any picture, video, sound or photograph taken by a visitor within the area of the ranch may only be used for strictly personal and non-commercial purposes, except if express, prior, written authorization has been obtained from Mile High Ranch.

4.3. Sales: No sale of goods or services, or the display of goods or services, unless prior written approval has been obtained.

​

4.4. Events: No unauthorized events, speeches, or use of any flag, banner, sign or other material for commercial or political purposes, or as part of a demonstration. 

 

These Rules, Regulations, and all Offers are subject to change at any time without notice and can be viewed on the Mile High Ranch website.
